GUY BLUFORD
AND BERNARD HARRIS PERFORM IN "MEN IN BLACK II" VIDEO
LOS ANGELES, CA - On
April 27th, Guy Bluford and Bernard Harris changed professions
for a day and became stars in Will
Smith's new music video for Men
in Black II, which is due in theaters on July 4th. Shot
at Universal Studios in Los
Angeles, the video features the duo in the International Space
Station participating in Smith's concert. Bluford and Harris were
personally requested by Smith because they were the first two
African-Americans to make significant accomplishments in space
Bluford was the first to fly in space, while Harris was
the first to walk in space.
PIERRE THUOT SPEEDS THROUGH DRIVING SCHOOL
SEBRING, FLORIDA - On
April 24, 2002, Pierre Thuot attended his first day of training
at the Panoz Driving School
in Sebring, Florida. He sped around the track behind the wheel
of a Panoz GT-RA, a 5.0-liter, 250-horsepower racing machine.
Thuot is training for the celebrity race division of the Cadillac
Grand Prix of Washington, D.C., taking place on July 20th.

EDWARDS "RE-ENERGIZES" AN INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION MEETING
AUSTIN,
TEXAS - On
Valentine's Day, Joe kicked off the annual winter meeting of the
Association of Energy Service Companies
in Austin, Texas. He gave a lively address to company presidents,
chief executive officers and upper management professionals, and
set the tone for the upcoming weekend's activities at the conference.

BLUFORD HELPS LAUNCH "MISSION TO MALLS" SPACE PROGRAM
CLEVELAND,
OHIO - Guy brought his awesome
experiences in space to kids in shopping malls as part of the
"Mission to Malls" program at the Avenue at Tower City
Center in Cleveland, Ohio on March 15, 2002. The program brings
the excitement of U.S. Space Camp¬
and general space travel to families in a unique, interactive,
in-mall exhibit, which will travel to nine malls by April 14.
Guy greeted local area school children and posed for photos before
the start of "Outpost in Space," a 30-minute, theatre-style presentation
about living and working in space.
ALAN
BEAN "GETS ANIMATED" IN TV PILOT
On Jan. 16,
2002, Alan Bean teamed up with legendary animator, Art Cloakey,
of Gumby & Pokey fame, to tape
a TV pilot that celebrates the animated duo's most famous adventure.
When Mr. Cloakey launched the Gumby & Pokey series in 1958, the
first place the twosome traveled was to the Moon. Their other
adventures were chronicles in a total of 65 episodes that have
aired to millions of children over the last 44 years. In this
new pilot, Mr. Cloakey shares his story about how he created this
first episode to the Moon, while interacting with Alan and a group
of school children.

THAT CHARLIE DUKE ON QVC?
Charlie Duke was live on QVC
on Dec. 4, 2001 to celebrate the unveiling of the world's first
motion coin, which celebrates the Apollo Program. The limited
edition coin, which is based on patented technology from Eastman
Kodak Company, is essentially a "mini movie" that shows
photographs of the Apollo missions encircled by the Moon's phases.
